ReflexDAO
A decentralized, open global community of health wearable users, scientific researchers, and healthcare innovators, collaborating to prevent and manage chronic diseases through a deeper understanding of the functioning of the autonomic nervous system.
REFLEX Token ($REFLEX)
The governance token of ReflexDAO, granting holders voting rights on strategy and funding. It also unlocks community rewards and gated access to research.
Reflex Wearable R&D Prototype
The R&D Prototype is the first health wearable device developed by ReflexDAO to support collection of continuous HRV data from our community. This device is available to early adopters who want to help us seed the Reflex ecosystem and road-test our suite of health data insights to earn token rewards.
Reflex Health App
A mobile application that connects to a Reflex Wearable device to collect and analyze data, providing granular feedback and insights that help users understand and improve their health. The Reflex Health App enables our community to participate in sharing of anonymised health data to the Reflex Lab for token rewards.
BEAT Token
The BEAT token is used to reward wearable users in the mobile application for participating in data collection activities and data sharing incentives. BEAT does not hold governance power in ReflexDAO.
Reflex Lab
A digital biobank and health data dashboard where anonymous data from our community can be analysed and inspected. Scientists define experiments using the data, the results of which are published to a growing non-fungible dataset. Healthcare innovators use this dataset to develop feedback mechanisms for individuals who are interested in preventing or managing chronic diseases. All of this happens in a secure, transparent, and immutable environment built on blockchain rails.
Reflex Platform
The foundational technological framework that supports the Reflex ecosystem. The Platform supports the transmission of secure data from wearable devices to Reflex Lab, and forms the infrastructure that allows healthcare innovators to build applications, services, or technologies that benefit our community.
DePIN
A decentralised physical infrastructure network made up of community-controlled infrastructure. A blockchain records ownership, usage, and incentives, ensuring trust and transparency without central control. The Reflex ecosystem’s network of health wearables is an example of a DePIN that brings together wearable users, scientists, and healthcare innovators in a value creation loop.
Autonomic Nervous System (ANS)
A branch of the peripheral nervous system (the nervous system outside of the brain). The ANS automatically regulates vital bodily functions such as heart rate, digestion, respiratory rate, and blood pressure. It adapts to internal and external stressors to maintain stability and optimal function, ensuring overall well-being. Since ANS dysfunction is a major contributor to chronic diseases, it plays a crucial role in preventing and managing chronic conditions.
Chronic Disease
A long-term medical condition that typically lasts for three months or more and usually progresses slowly. Chronic diseases often require ongoing medical attention and lifestyle management, and while they may be controlled, they are rarely cured. Chronic diseases are among the leading causes of disability and death worldwide, often linked to risk factors like poor diet, lack of exercise, smoking, excessive alcohol consumption, and genetic predisposition.
